Now in its 30th year, Werribee Open Range Zoo has become famous for its world-class African experience. The 235-hectare zoo is home to animals of the African savannah and those from the grasslands of Asia, North America and Australia, including the critically endangered Eastern Barred Bandicoot.

The Zoo is a major tourism, education and recreation destination for the region and an integral part of the Werribee Tourism Precinct, this year drawing more than 470,000 people from around the globe to the heart of Wyndham.

With the support of 180 staff and more than 130 volunteers, Werribee Open Range Zoo provides fun, wildlife-based recreation and learning experience that inspire visitors to take conservation actions that make a measurable and positive difference.
