Television news focussed on East Werribee

November 25, 2021

A group of C4W members spent time yesterday with ABC journalists talking about and visiting East Werribee.  It was July 2019 when the State Government withdrew from the development of the site with its preferred tenderer.  No reason has been given for its withdrawal.

With 62% of employed residents leaving Wyndham to work the right development of East Werribee is vital to our future.  At 775 hectares it is the largest State-owned greenfields site in metropolitan Melbourne and well located with freeway access, nearby suburban rail and good access to both Avalon and Melbourne airports.

Catch the story on ABC News this coming Sunday night at 7pm.

C4W is committed to continuing to raise East Werribee in our discussions with State Government – this is an opportunity for Wyndham’s future that needs action now.
