Ministerial Roundtable

On 26 June 2025, the Committee for Wyndham proudly hosted a Ministerial Roundtable with The Hon. Danny Pearson MP, Minister for Economic Growth & Jobs and Minister for Finance, alongside John Lister MP, Member for Werribee.

A diverse group of our members—spanning a broad representation of sectors including charities, local government, banking, health, education, transport, trades, IT, arts, construction, and professional services—came together to engage in an open and respectful discussion. From sole traders to organisations employing up to 46,000 staff, the intimate group collectively represents over 56,500 employed staff contributing to our states economy.

The conversation covered both the challenges and opportunities facing our region and businesses with topics ranging from business growth constraints and policy settings to workforce safety & needs and infrastructure planning.

On the same day as the roundtable, we were pleased to share that a direct outcome had already been actioned as a result of one of the discussions held that morning. We look forward to seeing many more positive outcomes come to fruition from the dialogue.

We’re thankful to Minister Pearson and Minister Lister for taking the time to hear directly from the business community and for engaging in such a thoughtful and genuine exchange.

Thank you to all who participated in the discussion.  A big thank you to Wyndham CEC for so generously hosting us in their new facility. and also to Lizzy Jacobs for her photography.

At the Committee for Wyndham, we remain committed to advocating for the business voices that drive our region forward.
