More than 110 business, community and government leaders joined us on 10 June for the 13th State Treasurer’s Lunch, featuring Victoria’s Treasurer, The Hon. Jaclyn Symes MP.
Attendees received insights into the 2026–27 Victorian Budget and its impact on Wyndham and Melbourne’s west.
Sponsored by Williams Landing Town Centre, Cedar Woods and with Q&A supported by Banksia Strategic Partners, the event highlighted key budget investments for the region, including the Werribee Mercy Hospital Emergency Department expansion, upgrades to local schools, a new secondary college in Wyndham Vale, and improvements to rail and public transport connections.
Speakers included Committee for Wyndham CEO Leanne Down, Chair Craig Kennedy, Cedar Woods Development Manager Karen Huang and Member for Werribee John Lister MP.
A moderated Q&A session enabled local business leaders to raise priorities directly with the Treasurer. The Committee also presented Wyndham City Council’s State Election Advocacy Priorities, outlining the critical projects needed to support the region’s rapid growth.
