On 30 April, the Committee for Wyndham had the privilege of a private tour of the new Elephant & Waterhole Trails at Werribee Open Range Zoo, an experience that was both impactful and inspiring. Nearly 100 of our members had the unique opportunity to hear directly from the expert keepers and Dr. Mark Pilgrim about the elephants and the incredible work taking place at the zoo.
We learned how the zoo is playing a critical role in strengthening our local region—creating jobs, championing sustainability through the innovative use of repurposed materials, and sharing bold plans for the future of the elephants.
Fun fact: All of the fences for the elephant enclosure are made from recycled train tracks and elevator cables—showcasing the zoo’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility!
This event also provided an excellent platform for our members to connect with other organisations that share a deep commitment to Wyndham’s growth and the opportunities it offers.
At the Committee for Wyndham, we take pride in advocating for and highlighting the exceptional assets our region offers, empowering not only local businesses but those business that also serve and support our region, while fostering collaboration for sustained success.
Here’s to continuing to drive growth and innovation in Wyndham!
