Nurse Next Door Werribee is a locally owned and operated home care provider supporting older Australians, people living with disability and their families across Wyndham and Melbourne’s West.
The team provides personalised in-home care through aged care and NDIS supports, ranging from companionship and personal care through to complex disability support and nursing care.
For owner/operators Eugene and Shalini the purpose is deeply personal. During a difficult time for their own family, someone became the silver lining they desperately needed. That experience stayed with them and became part of why Nurse Next Door Werribee exists today. Now, they have the opportunity to be that silver lining for others in the community when they need it most.
Being part of the Wyndham community means more to Eugene and Shalini than simply providing care. They are passionate about improving access to care, helping families understand and navigate the aged care and disability systems, and building stronger connections between local health, community and support organisations.
Through community education, local partnerships and initiatives such as “Coffee, Care & Conversations,” Nurse Next Door Werribee is working to break down barriers people experience when trying to understand and access support, one conversation at a time.
As Nurse Next Door Werribee continues to grow, their focus remains firmly local: creating meaningful employment opportunities, contributing to the Wyndham community and helping more people live happier and more independent lives at home.
